Everyone at Bridge Cheese is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the highest possible AA rating for food safety.
We were notified of the achievement following a visit from the British Retail Consortium inspectors.
The BRC’s Global Standard AA grade is one of the highest food safety standard accreditations awarded and is the benchmark for good practice.
Bridge Cheese managing director Michael Harte said: “I am so proud that we have achieved an AA rating.
“The British Retail Consortium award is a globally-recognised certification for food safety and achieving the AA rating will have continued positive effects for the future of the business.
“This is down to the hard work of all our staff, who continually strive for and achieve the very highest standards of excellence in. Huge thanks to all of them, and to our customers for their continued support.”
The BRC Global Food Safety Standard has been the benchmark for food safety for almost 25 years and is used in more than 130 countries. A BRC grading is accepted by 70 per cent of the top 10 global retailers and 60 per cent of the top 10 fast food restaurants.
It helps manage product safety, integrity, legality and quality in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing and packing industry and has been developed in conjunction with the industry.
