Reporting to the Production Manager
Primarily responsible for the supervision and operation of high care processing and grating lines. Ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer demands.
The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Responsible for:
Health and Safety
- Safe operation of all equipment. Reporting of any issues to engineering dept.
- Ensuring procedures are followed by staff
Food Safety
- Ensuring the quality of the product made meets customer specification and quality standards – with clear attention to detail of requirements
- Ensuring good manufacturing practises (GMP) are upheld with focus on
- Clean as you go
- High care production practices / rules adherence
- Listeria prevention / management
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed
Operational Efficiency
- Efficient running of the High Care areas to meet planned volume targets
- Daily reporting of agreed targets which will include
- Downtime
- Waste
- Plan attainment
- Responding to any breakdowns in production lines, resolving issues where possible or taking corrective actions to resolve as quickly as possible by working closely with Engineering Dept
Staffing
- Liaising with production manager regarding daily staffing requirements
- Providing cover of supervisors or operators in the event of team member absence
- Providing training of staff
- Giving clear guidance/ communication and act as a role model for best practice
Rotating 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 shifts Monday to Friday
