About the Role
The Laboratory QA is responsible for Monitoring Finished Product Quality and Standards.
Working in a mixture of hot and cold temperature environments.
This role can be physical/ hands on, and applicants MUST be prepared to be team players and have a flexible approach to support our ever-growing Production/Technical Department. You must be prepared to adhere to food hygiene standards. Also, awareness that as our product must be chilled the successful candidate will be working in chilled temperatures at some points during their working day.
Key responsibilities
The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Testing and recording of all finished products against agreed standards – cook, moisture, grate
- Identifying potential quality issues, communicating these issues to relevant staff and implementing corrective actions
- Testing and recording of all raw material products against agreed standards – cook
- Organising all product microbiological testing including retests
- Ensuring all hygiene microbiological testing is carried out – ATP swabs and Micro swabs
- Carrying out all shelf-life testing
- Supporting investigations of complaints and providing feedback
- Carrying out weekly scale verification
- Additional duties as directed by Technical Coordinator
- To provide cover for other quality team members in periods of absence
About You
Education & Training
- Non-essential – Diploma in a Food Science related qualification
Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Non-essential – minimum 6 months experience in a similar role
- Good computer literacy skills
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail

Shift Work rotating weekly: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
Salary:
£13.11 per hour
