Welcome back to our special Meet the Team series, where we introduce you to some of the people who make Bridge Cheese the best around. Say hi to Gifty Quaye, who works in our packing department.
What do you do at Bridge Cheese?
I pack the cheese into boxes so it’s ready to send to our customers. Packing the cheese with consistency and quality in mind is very important as proper packing ensures that the cheese reaches our customers in pristine condition, maintaining its freshness and flavour. I’m also flexible, so I support other roles in the factory where needed.
How long have you worked at Bridge Cheese?
I worked in the food industry for five years in Belgium and 2/3 years since I’ve moved to the UK.
What excites you most about your job?
I am very happy in packing and being around friendly people.
What is your superpower at work?
My superpower is being helpful for anyone who needs it.
What do you like the most about working for Bridge Cheese?
Everyone is happy and there’s a really good atmosphere.
What’s your favourite cheese, and why?
Mature cheddar is my favourite because of the taste – especially in spaghetti and on bread.
